about the fresh bloom
The Fresh Bloom is owned and operated by Shelby Bright. For Shelby, Gainesville, Georgia has been “home” since 1993. After spending some time in Nashville working a “big girl job,” Shelby found herself longing to move home to be closer to friends and family (she’s a sucker for her niece and nephew). Upon consideration of what she should do for work, she and her family recognized a need in the community for a modern, fresh floral shop. Shelby quickly enrolled at FlowerSchool New York and Catherine Muller Flower School where she honed her skills and learned all things flowers. After lots of dreaming and prayers, the Fresh Bloom was opened in April of 2019. The Fresh Bloom operates as both your day-to-day flower shop with a fresh, pick-your-own flower bar while also offering full service wedding and event floral design.
It all started with a love for flowers.
Shelby recently married her husband Lee Michael, whom she was set up with by her dental hygienist (now her mother-in-law). Shelby and Lee Michael enjoy Friday evenings at home with a home cooked meal, sunny Saturdays on the lake, and drinking margs with friends. Shelby is a sneaker fiend, Crumbl cookie lover, and a BIG Below Deck fan. She is a sucker for Home Goods and can make a dynamite charcuterie board. And last but not least, her favorite flower is a butterfly ranunculus!
